Ninety-one percent of the forecast made on green and summer
production and greenhouse fruits is met

In an interview, the Director General of the Office of
Greenhouses, Ornamental Plants and Edible Mushrooms, stated: Production
forecast of vegetables and summer and fruits and unusual crops such as
Physalis, Passion Fruit and Dragon Fruit for this year is 3 million and 483
thousand tons, of which we have estimated production of 2 million and 600
thousand tons so far.

Gholamreza Taghavi also mentioned that: We expect that by
the end of this year's harvest time, in greenhouses, the production of these
products will reach about 3 million and 163 thousand tons.

Regarding the cultivation of new crops in the country's
greenhouse units, he said: Production of various garden products such as
pineapple, banana, turmeric and ginger is planned in greenhouses.

Taghavi stated that that the following items are among the
priority programs in the greenhouses section: Transfer of cultivation of
vegetables and summer outdoors to the controlled environment, improvement,
reconstruction and modernization of greenhouse units and cultivation of edible
mushrooms, improvement of production management in the controlled environment
by upgrading the technical knowledge of experts and exploiters by training skilled
labor and using technology.
