Tehran – Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture’s Office of Women's Affairs has forged a strategic partnership with the Iran Agricultural Guilds Chamber to bolster gender equality and economic resilience.

 

“This collaboration aims to empower rural and nomadic women by facilitating their entry into the digital marketplace and formalizing their agricultural businesses. The initiative will issue essential business licenses and enhance crucial marketing and branding infrastructure, providing a formal identity and support for women actively contributing to the agricultural sector,” Tahereh Ghayoomi, Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture for Women and Family Affairs, said.

 

She added, “This crucial step is expected to not only strengthen job security and credit for women in agriculture but also serve as an effective stride towards a women-centric resistance economy.”

 

Ghayoomi underscored the Ministry of Agriculture’s transformative vision for women's affairs, saying, "Today, more than ever, we need to leverage the expertise of our elites and specialized organizations to provide scientific guidance and robust support for women active in the agricultural sector."
