Iran exporting flowers to Russia, Kazakhstan, official
says
A provincial official said that the country’s northern
province of Mazandaran is exporting flowers and ornamental plants to Russia,
Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.
“Flowers and ornamental plants are
being exported to Russia, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan from the northern
province of Mazandaran,” Ehsan Abbaspour, the deputy head of the province’s
Agriculture Department for plant production improvement, said.
He added that 260 hectares of lands are under cut flower
cultivation in the province.
Iran has 17th place in the world in the production of
flowers and ornamental plants, but it is ranked 107th in terms of export.
