Iran can become a regional hub for agro products insurance,
official says 

The deputy head of Iran’s Agricultural Insurance Fund
described the country as a regional model for insurance of the agricultural
products.

“We are the first in the region in
the sector of agricultural insurance and have the potentional to become a hub in
this sector and help other countries in the region,” Alireza Al-e Amin said on
Tuesday.

At present, China's agricultural insurance market is the
second largest in the world after the US, he said, noting that Iran owns the
top insurance in the region.

“Azerbaijan and Armenia and some
other neighboring countries are eager to cooperate with us in the sector of
agricultural insurance,” Alireza Al-e Amin said.

Iran, covering over 100 products by “revenue” and
“production” insurance, stands first in the region.
