Ilam – Iran has made substantial strides in potato seed production, with domestic companies in the western province of Ilam now producing a substantial quantity of certified mini-tubers, according to a provincial official.

 

We are cultivating potato seeds using these mini-tubers, noting that the province is ready to share its experience with farmers and other provinces.

 

This achievement marks a significant milestone for Iran's agricultural sector, as it not only ensures a reliable supply of high-quality potato seeds domestically but also opens up opportunities for exports. The production of certified mini-tubers contributes to increased agricultural productivity, reduced reliance on imported seeds, and enhanced food security.
