Iran, Türkiye vow to expand agricultural, natural resources cooperation
TEHRAN – Iran's Minister of Agriculture, Gholamreza Nouri, held talks with Türkiye's Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change on the sidelines of the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention to Combat Desertification in Mongolia, discussing ways to enhance bilateral ties across various sectors.
The two sides stressed the importance of expanding Iran-Turkey cooperation in agriculture, forestry, and natural resources.
Discussions also covered trade in agricultural products and related commodities, with both officials emphasizing the need to leverage available capacities to boost economic and commercial exchanges.
Forestry and natural resource management were also on the agenda, with the two sides agreeing on the need for continued dialogue and closer joint collaboration.
The meeting further explored avenues for elevating bilateral relations and harnessing the potential of both countries for cooperation in agriculture, natural resources, forestry, and agricultural trade.
