Iran, Kazakhstan agree to boost agricultural trade, investment
Almaty – Iranian and Kazakh agricultural delegations have pledged to expand bilateral farm trade and pursue joint investments, following talks on the sidelines of the EAEU Agribusiness Policy Council meeting.
Both sides explored opportunities for extraterritorial farming in Kazakhstan, given its fertile land and ample rainfall, to produce grains, oilseeds, and corn. Export of Iranian fruits, nuts, and greenhouse produce to Kazakhstan was also high on the agenda.
The engagement aims to strengthen agricultural diplomacy, open new export markets, and maximize shared economic potential between the two countries.
