Bojnord — The city of Bojnurd in North Khorasan province exported 700 honey bee colonies and 100 queen bees to Armenia during the first five months of the current Iranian year, marking the resumption of the province’s bee exports after a year-long interruption.

 

Mohsen Shad-Del, head of the Quarantine and Biosecurity Department at North Khorasan’s General Directorate of Veterinary Medicine, said no bee colonies or queen bees were exported from the province in the Iranian year 1404.

 

The province had previously exported 100 queen bees to Armenia in 1403, he added.

 

Shad-Del also reported continued growth in dairy exports, saying that a dairy plant in Faruj County exported 108 tons of butter to Armenia during the first five months of the current year, following exports of 245 tons in 1404 and 21 tons in 1403.
