Tehran — Iran’s Veterinary Organization and the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute are working to deepen scientific and laboratory cooperation on veterinary vaccines and biological products, with a focus on improving quality, safety and disease control.

 

Amir Azad, acting head of the Veterinary Organization’s Department of Diagnosis, Drugs and Treatment Management, discussed the issue during a visit to the Iran Pharma exhibition and the Razi Institute’s booth, where he met with acting institute head Hassan Morovati and other officials.

 

Azad described Razi as a key national scientific and technical institution and said making greater use of its research, laboratory and production capabilities was a strategic priority for Iran’s veterinary health system.

 

The talks focused on producing and supplying strategic vaccines, quality control of biological products, and strengthening veterinary reference laboratories. The two sides also stressed compliance with technical standards and international protocols to ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of domestically produced vaccines.

 

Azad said closer cooperation between the Veterinary Organization’s diagnostic centers and Razi’s specialized departments would help strengthen Iran’s technological capacity and self-sufficiency in controlling animal diseases.

 

The two sides agreed to continue consultations on joint research and operational projects aimed at protecting Iran’s livestock resources.
