Trilateral Memorandum of Understanding between Central Rural
Cooperative Organization, CIRDAP and Institute for Planning Research,
Agricultural Economics and Rural Development

According to the information center of the Ministry of
Jihad-Agriculture, quoted by the public relations of the Central Organization
of Rural Cooperatives of Iran, Dr. Hossein Pourshirzad stated at a joint
meeting with the Director of the Center for Integrated Rural Development of
Asia-Pacific (CIRDAP) and Head of the Institute for Agricultural Planning and
Economics Research: within the Rural and Agricultural Cooperatives Network,
there are all three levels of advanced, medium and weak cooperatives that appear
to be very useful for CIRDAP study, research and field projects.

At a joint meeting between Dr. Hossein Shirzad, Director of
the Central Organization of Rural Cooperation of Iran, with the Director of the
Center for Integrated Rural Development of Asia-Pacific (Sirdap), and Dr. Kiani
Rad, Head of the Institute for Planning, Agricultural Economics and Rural
Development, agreement was reached on trilateral cooperation letter on participation
in SIRDAP training courses, inviting international Professors and holding training
courses in Iran, connecting with cooperatives active in Other SIRDAP member states,
and implementing small-scale pilot projects to improve rural households'
livelihoods.
