Iran and Ghana signed 7 cooperation documents / 10 times
increase in trade volume between the two countries

The documents of the Memorandum of Understanding on
Comprehensive Agricultural Cooperation and the Memorandum of Understanding of
the Seventh Meeting of the Iran-Ghana Permanent Joint Cooperation Commission
were signed by Seyed Javad Sadati Nejad, Minister of Jihad-Agriculture and
Mohammad Ibrahim Avval, Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism of Ghana.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of
Jihad-Agriculture, while emphasizing the expansion of economic, trade and
agricultural cooperation between the two countries, said: Within the framework
of this summit, the bilateral trade volume between Iran and Ghana has increased
from about $ 35 million in 2018 to more than 10 times to $ 370 million in 2021.

He then added that: The government of Dr. Raeesi has taken
important steps in rational foreign relations, maintaining national security,
enhancing the country's credibility in the international arena, and
constructive and effective engagement with friendly, independent, and
non-aligned countries. Ghana is the most important target country in West
Africa for us.

The Minister of Jihad-Agriculture stated that in the form of
the last six meetings, cooperation documents in the fields of oil, gas,
petrochemicals, mining and investment and agricultural projects, water supply
and industry have been signed between the two countries. He also told that:
Some previous agreements and goals have not been achieved in the form of this
summit, and we hope that more efforts will be made to implement the agreements.

He referred to the banking relations between Iran and Ghana
and said: Banking relations are important for achieving the growth of exchanges
and cooperation between the two sides.

Following the meeting, the Minister of Culture, Arts and
Tourism of Ghana also emphasized the development of cooperation between the two
countries and said: This joint cooperation commission has been formed to
strengthen economic, cultural and scientific relations between the two
countries. Mohamamd Ibrahim Avval also added: At the meeting, the two sides
agreed on the allocation of land to Iranian investors for investment. Mohammad
Ibrahim Avval appreciates Iran's support in the fields of education, health,
petrochemicals, agriculture, human resources, marketing and communications.
