Iran, Angola explore ways to boost environmental, forestry cooperation
TEHRAN – The Iranian Minister of Agriculture held talks with Angola's Minister of Environment on the sidelines of a visit to Mongolia, discussing ways to expand bilateral cooperation in environment, natural resources, forestry, and afforestation.
During the meeting, the two sides explored potential areas of collaboration in natural resource management, forest protection, and afforestation, stressing the need to tap into existing capacities for specialized cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
The ministers also exchanged views on strategies to strengthen joint efforts in environmental and natural resource management, as well as leveraging their mutual experience in forest conservation and vegetation development.
Gholamreza Nouri underscored Iran's readiness to expand specialized cooperation with African nations, highlighting the country's scientific, technical, and executive capacities in the fields of natural resources and environmental management.
