Ministry of Agriculture vows unwavering commitment to people’s livelihood, well-being

Tehran - The Minister of Agriculture affirmed that the 14th government and the Ministry, adhering to the enduring directives and guidelines of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the President, have prioritized "food security" and "market management and regulation" as core pillars of their mission.

According to the official website of the ministry, Gholamreza Nouri in his Tuesday message emphasized that the Ministry of Agriculture will spare no effort in safeguarding "the people’s sustenance and livelihood" under any circumstances.

The 27th of Khordad marks the anniversary of the historic decree by the great founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), establishing the Construction Jihad—a movement dedicated to rebuilding, development, and progress in Islamic Iran.

We are the proud inheritors and custodians of a land whose civilizational achievements in agriculture, horticulture, soil and water conservation, and environmental stewardship remain unparalleled even in the modern world. For generations, Iran’s farmers, herders, villagers, fishermen, and nomads have been the backbone of the nation’s productive economy, driving growth and self-sufficiency. On this historic occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all those laboring in the fields of agriculture and rural development, and I salute their tireless efforts and accomplishments.

This year’s Agricultural Jihad Week takes place under exceptional circumstances, as the usurping and criminal Zionist regime has attacked our beloved homeland, martyring several of Iran’s brave and devoted sons. Yet we assure our noble people that this aggression will not disrupt the production, supply, distribution, or availability of agricultural goods. The dedicated men and women of the Agricultural Jihad remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the people and upholding food security.

Food security stands as the foremost duty of the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad. Our managers and experts nationwide are working tirelessly, with meticulous planning, to ensure its sustainability. I extend my deepest gratitude to each of them for their unwavering dedication.

The spirit of solidarity and national unity in these trying times has rekindled memories of the Iranian people’s resolute cohesion during the eight years of Sacred Defense. Drawing inspiration from that same indomitable spirit, we reassure our noble nation that—through prudent foresight and strategic planning—the supply chain for agricultural and food products will remain unshaken, upholding sustainable food security in all conditions.

The 14th government and the Ministry of Agriculture, guided by the steadfast emphasis of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the President, have made food security and market regulation their top priorities. They will leave no stone unturned in securing the people’s sustenance and prosperity, regardless of challenges.
