President launches 2,209 agricultural projects across Iran
Tehran - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian officially inaugurated 2,209 agricultural projects nationwide during a virtual ceremony held as part of National Agriculture Week, underscoring the government's commitment to strengthening food security and rural development.
The projects, unveiled with Agriculture Minister Gholamreza Nouri in attendance, are designed to expand agricultural infrastructure, increase production, create employment, and enhance productivity across the sector.
Spanning a wide range of activities, including crop and livestock production, modern irrigation systems, agricultural infrastructure, and food processing and value-added industries, the initiatives are expected to bolster production capacity and support sustainable growth in agriculture.
Officials said the projects will also help improve farmers’ incomes, stimulate local economies, and reinforce the country's efforts to achieve greater food security and agricultural resilience.
