Tehran – A member of the Iranian Parliament's Agriculture Commission has provided updates on the country's apple exports and citrus production.

 

According to Nadergholi Ebrahimi, Iran has approximately one million tons of exportable apples, and the domestic market for this product is currently favorable.

 

Regarding citrus fruits, Ebrahimi said that Iran ranks fourth in overall citrus production and seventh in orange production globally.

 

However, he noted that citrus exports are not substantial, amounting to less than 500,000 tons annually.
