Tehran – Iran has the potential to be a key trade corridor for the Philippines to access European markets, according to the Iranian minister of agriculture.

Gholamreza Nouri made the remarks during a Monday meeting with the Philippines' Deputy Minister of Agriculture, where two memoranda of understanding were also signed.

The Iranian minister highlighted both nations’ common international viewpoints and agricultural capacities, saying, "Iran's strategic location provides the Philippines with a direct route to European markets."

The signed memoranda focus on enhancing agricultural cooperation and plant inspection procedures between the two nations.
